Wolferding is a district of the city of Vilsbiburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 he formed an independent community.

history
Wolferding can be traced back to a settlement on an old road connecting route. The branch church St. Georg and St. Martin is a late Gothic brick building, designated 1498. The basis of the district court community Wolferding from 1818 were the tax districts Wolferding and Johanneskirchen from 1808. The community belonged to the district court Vilsbiburg , later the district Vilsbiburg and included Wolferding Municipal seat Johanneskirchen, Achldorf, Anzenberg, Bründl, Buckleck, Burg, Eckweg, Eibelswimm, Gassau, Grub, Hinterwimm, Hinzing, Hollreit, Holzen, Holzleiten, Irleswimm, Kienberg, Kirchstetten, Kögleck, Kollmannsberg, Kratzen, Landesberg, Oberenglberg, Oberschellenberg, Pirkenberg , Putzing, Reichreit, Ritthal, Rofoldsreit, Rumpfing, Saching, Schußreit, Stadl, Thal I, Thal II, Thalham, Trauterfing, Ulring, Unterenglberg, Unterschellenberg, Vockhof, Wachsenberg and Wies. As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality Wolferding was incorporated into the city of Vilsbiburg on May 1, 1978. Burg, Hollreit, Holzleiten and Putzing have been part of the Bodenkirchen community since May 1, 1978 .
