Wolffgang Hartmann

Wolffgang Hartmann (born before 1606 in possibly Danzig ; died 1663 in Stockholm ) was a German engraver and painter.

The exact life dates of Wolffgang Hartmann have not yet been researched, it is possible that he was born in Danzig . His life data are derived from his work. Portraits and cityscapes have survived. Hartmann worked in Stockholm , Riga and around 1640 in Rostock . In Lübeck around 1658 he created a copper engraving of the grave slab for the Lübeck mayor Matthäus Rodde , which was already in Lübeck's Marienkirche during his lifetime . After Hervé Brunon's contribution on André Mollet's Le jardin de plaisir… H. Keyser, Stockholm 1651 he died in 1663 in Stockholm.
