Wolfgang Domschke

Wolfgang Domschke (born June 2, 1944 in Oberböhmsdorf , Thuringia) is a full professor for business administration and operations research at the Technical University of Darmstadt ( TU Darmstadt ).

Live and act

Wolfgang Domschke studied technical economics at the TH Karlsruhe (today KIT) from 1965 to 1969 . In 1971 he received his doctorate and in 1974 he received his habilitation in business administration and operations research at the same university. From 1975 to 1985 he held a chair for business administration and operations research at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg , and since then he has held a chair with the same focus at the TU Darmstadt. His main research interests are in the areas of quantitative business administration and the applications of operations research on questions of logistics ( transport planning , route planning and location planning ) and production ( lot size , assembly line coordination and machine occupancy planning ).

Guest professorships have taken him to the Tongji University in Shanghai, the TU Bucharest, the WU Vienna and the University of St. Gallen.
