Wolfgang Hackl

Wolfgang Hackl (* 1949 in Vienna ) is an Austrian filmmaker who mainly works in the field of documentary film .

In 1967 he passed the Matura in Vienna. After graduating from the Vienna Film Academy in camera / direction with Professors Alfons Stummer, Axel Corti and Axel von Ambesser , he worked as a cameraman for various ORF productions and music films (about the Rolling Stones , Beatles and others).

In 1980 he founded his own film production company A1Plus Filmproduktion , which focuses on advertising and music videos.

Since 1990 he has mainly produced cultural films for ORF / 3sat (including 68 city portraits) as well as a series of documentaries together with Peter Zurek , the director of 3sat Austria.
