Wolfgang Holl

Wolfgang Holl (* in Schwäbisch Hall ; † September 4, 1590 ) was a German bishop and auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt .

In 1559 Holl was ordained a priest for the diocese of Eichstätt. On August 23, 1570 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt and titular bishop of Philadelphia in Arabia . On November 5, 1570 Otto von Waldburg , Cardinal Bishop of Palestrina and Bishop of Augsburg , with the assistance of Antonio Elio , titular patriarch of Jerusalem , and Galeazzo Gegald consecrated him as bishop in the Sistine Chapel . He consecrated Johann Ertlin and assisted in the consecration of Marquard von Berg and Ernst von Mengersdorf .
