Wolfgang Huber (born November 11, 1940 in Mannheim ) is a German specialist in internal medicine , as well as a nephrologist and environmental doctor .

Career

After completing his medical studies at the University of Heidelberg in 1965, Huber worked from 1967 to 1975 at the medical clinic of the Mannheim Clinic - part of the University of Heidelberg - as an assistant doctor and research assistant. In 1974 he received his license to become a specialist in internal medicine, and in 1976 the Venia Legendi for this subject. From 1975 to 1998 Huber worked as a senior physician at the Kurpfalzkrankenhaus Heidelberg in the nephrology / hemodialysis department . The sub-area designation "Nephrologist" was recognized in 1979. From 1986 to 2005 Huber was an adjunct professor at the Mannheim Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University. From 1991 to 1993, Huber worked as an expert at the Frankfurt wood preservative trial, the largest environmental criminal trial in Germany. In his report, he explains the relationship between the biocidal ingredients of various wood preservatives and the resulting immune disorders .

From 1995 onwards, Huber was given the additional title of “Environmental Medicine” and has been running a private practice in the Wieblingen district of Heidelberg since 1998 . As a reviewer, he prepared reports in pension and occupational disease proceedings, vaccination reports, reports in severely disabled legal proceedings and private reports until 2017.

In 2000 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon, in 2008 with the Citizen's Badge of the City of Heidelberg and in 2017 with the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class for his decades of commitment to environmental medicine and senior work.

Specialties

Wolfgang Huber deals with diseases and their consequences due to pollution such as pesticides , solvents , organochlorine hydrocarbons , fungicides and heavy metals . But studies on dental materials , Lyme disease , MCS , CFS and kidney diseases also belong in his area of ​​expertise.
