Wolfgang Lindow

Wolfgang Lindow (born December 20, 1932 in Greifenberg in Pomerania ; † March 30, 2020 in Bremen ) was a German philologist and folklorist .

As a scientist who was significantly involved in setting up the Institute for Low German in Bremen , he has also contributed to numerous important publications on Low German , for example the Plattdüütsch-Hoochdüütsche Wöörbook . He also gained fame as a temporary spokesman for the Low German news on Radio Bremen .
