Wolfgang Linsenmaier

Wolfgang Linsenmaier (born June 15, 1949 in Eibelshausen ) is a German lawyer , presiding judge at the Federal Labor Court (BAG) in Erfurt a. D. and honorary professor at the University of Merseburg.

Life

Linsenmaier completed his legal training in 1976 with the second state examination and then began his judicial career, initially in the ordinary jurisdiction , where he was employed during his probationary period at the Karlsruhe Regional Court and in the Karlsruhe Public Prosecutor's Office . In November 1977 he entered the labor court . He was initially a judge at the Stuttgart Labor Court and then from August 1987 presiding judge at the Baden-Württemberg State Labor Court . In 1999 he became a judge at the Federal Labor Court. There he was initially a member of the 7th Senate, but moved to the 1st Senate in 2002. From October 1, 2009, he was again a member of the 7th Senate and was chairman of the 7th Senate until September 30, 2014. The 7th Senate of the Federal Labor Court deals with formal works constitution and staff representation law as well as for the termination of fixed-term employment contracts due to the commencement of the time limit . Since 2014, Wolfgang Linsenmaier has also been an honorary professor at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences.

As the author of the fitting, he comments on the Works Constitution Act. In addition, Linsenmaier comments on Article 9 of the Basic Law in the Erfurt Commentary.

In his free time, Wolfgang Linsenmaier works as a musician and also deals with viticulture.
