Wolfgang Mütze (born July 18, 1943 in Kassel ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Social Court .

Career

After leaving school with high school and community service a voluntary two-year military service Wolfgang cap studied at the Universities of Münster , Tübingen and Marburg the law . He completed his studies in 1970 with the first state examination in law. After completing his legal clerkship , he passed the Second State Examination in Berlin in 1974 and was thus qualified to be a judge.

Wolfgang Mütze began his career in the judiciary in 1974 as a preliminary reporter at the Berlin Regional Social Court (today the Berlin-Brandenburg Regional Social Court ). This was followed by activities at the Social Court in Berlin and later at various local courts , where he had to deal with family law, among other things . In 1982 he returned to the Social Court as a judge and in 1986 became a judge at the Regional Social Court. In May 1993 he was appointed judge at the Federal Social Court. First he belonged to the 13th Senate of the Federal Social Court, which is responsible for the pension insurance of the workers. In 1998 he moved to the 2nd Senate, which is responsible for legal disputes about statutory accident insurance . From 1996 to 2004 Mütze was a member of the presidium of the court, where he was responsible for the publication of the decisions of the Federal Social Court as an IT consultant. In 2003 he became deputy chairman of the 2nd Senate and retired at the beginning of August 2008. He is now working as a lawyer.
