Wolfgang Marx (politician)

Wolfgang Marx (born December 6, 1965 in Lugano / Switzerland) is a German SPD politician and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Wolfgang Marx came to Hamburg as a child in 1967 . He graduated from high school in 1984. Since 1989 he has been a self-employed auctioneer in the specialist retail trade. He is the father of three children.

In addition to his parliamentary work, he was a member of the board of trustees of the Research Center for Contemporary History in Hamburg and the board of directors of the Hamburg Student Union and the Workers' Welfare Association (AWO).

Marx has been a member of the SPD since 1982. From 1991 to 1993 and 2001 to 2004 he was a member of the Wilhelmsburg local committee and from 2001 to 2004 a deputy in the authority for science and research .

He was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from 1993 to 2001 and from 2004 to 2008 . He sat for his group in the budget committee, legal committee, science committee and special committee on administrative reform. He was also Chairman of the Audit Subcommittee. He also sat on the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (PUA) on information transfer. He was a specialist spokesman for public companies .
