Wolfgang Ortmanns

Wolfgang Ortmanns (born May 7, 1958 ) is a German economist.

Life

Wolfgang Ortmanns studied at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences Economics . After completing his studies, Ortmanns worked in various management functions for a US bank between 1986 and 1995.

He obtained his doctorate in 1994 from Janusz Teczke at the University of Economics in Krakow, Poland, with a thesis on market-oriented bank management in the private customer business .

In 1995 he took over a professorship at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences . Ortmanns has worked there since then in the areas of economics , banking , decision and game theory, and international financial markets.

He also took on functions in the university's academic administration . In addition to positions as dean of studies for business administration and vice dean , he was also dean of the Faculty of Economics for a full legislature . He has been Vice Dean again since 2012.

In 2008 Ortmanns published a book on decision and game theory.
