Wolfgang Pietsch (composer)

Wolfgang Pietsch (* 1929 in Dresden ; † 1974 ) was a German composer who worked in the GDR .

Pietsch was self-taught . He worked as an orchestra conductor at the Volksbühne in East Berlin and composed the music for numerous cinema and television films.

In 1963 he married the actress Marianne Wünscher and had a son with her. His grave is in the Pankow III cemetery .
