Wolfgang Rothe (soccer player)
Wolfgang Rothe (born October 15, 1953 ) is a former German soccer player .
In the 1973/74 season Rothe played with SSV Reutlingen 05 in the 1st Amateur League Black Forest-Bodensee. He came to SSV from VfB Stuttgart . At the end of this season, the 1.80 m tall defender was Wuerttemberg amateur champion with Reutlingen and won the first German amateur championship of SSV Reutlingen in the 1974 German amateur championship final.
The 1975/76 season Rothe denied with the BSV 07 Schwenningen , with whom he was champion in the Black Forest-Bodensee League this season. Rothe then qualified in the promotion round with BSV Schwenningen for the 2nd Bundesliga . In the second division season 1976/77 Rothe completed 31 missions for the BSV and scored 2 goals.
After a short time at FV Ebingen , Rothe moved to Kickers Offenbach in 1978 . After settling in the Südstaffel in the 1980-81 season qualified with Offenbach for the single track 2. Bundesliga succeeded Rothe in the 1982/83 season with the OFC promotion to the Bundesliga . In the Bundesliga season 1983/84 he completed two first division games for the Offenbacher Kickers, with which he was relegated at the end of the season.
