Wolfgang Sailer

Wolfgang Sailer (* 1947 in Stuttgart ) is a German lawyer and former presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court .

Life

He studied law at the Free University of Berlin and at the University of Tübingen . After his legal clerkship and passing the second state examination , he became a judge at the Berlin Administrative Court in spring 1977 . While he was seconded to the Berlin Senate Administration for Justice, the Federal Administrative Court and the Berlin Higher Administrative Court for several years , he was appointed judge at the Berlin Higher Administrative Court in the spring of 1985 .

In January 1993 he became a judge at the Federal Administrative Court and remained so until he retired on May 1, 2012. Until 2002 he was assigned to the 8th Audit Senate, which dealt with compulsory military service and civil service law , the right to promote housing construction and tax law, and then took over the chairmanship of the 7th Audit Senate. This involved, among other things, environmental law , including the emission protection law , the waste and soil protection law , the Atomic Energy Act , the Mining Law , the genetic engineering law, the freedom of information law and the state church law . He was also the press spokesman for the Federal Administrative Court for many years.
