Wolfgang Schrörs

Wolfgang Schrörs (born May 16, 1949 in Bremen ; † November 17, 2019 ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Schrörs studied business administration at the University of Cologne . He graduated in 1974 with a degree in business administration. Until his doctorate in 1977 he was a research assistant at the Cologne seminar for general business administration and for auditing. He then joined the Karl Pott company in 1977 and was its managing director until 2008. Since 2008 Schrörs was managing partner of Dr. Schrörs GmbH & Co. KG and managing director of Dr. Schrörs Consulting GmbH.

Schrörs was a member of the state board of the Bremen CDU and its state treasurer.

From 1987 to 2011 he was a member of the parliament. He was a member of the committees for budget and finance, for the ports in Bremen, for information and communication technology and media affairs, for science and research, the audit committees, the board of trustees of the Stiftung Wohnliche Stadt , the temporary committee for the implementation of the Federalism Reform II in the state of Bremen as well as in the works committees of Bremen Music School, Bremen City Library and Bremen Adult Education Center . On December 2, 2010, he announced that he would no longer stand for the next legislative period and that he would resign from his position as state treasurer on December 31, 2010. The background was the internal CDU conflicts.

Schrörs was chairman of the supervisory board of Bremer Kreditbank AG (formerly KBC Bank Deutschland AG) from 1994 to 2014 and was chairman of the supervisory board of Radio Bremen Media GmbH and a member of the administrative board of Radio Bremen . Schrörs was a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds and deputy chairman of the board of trustees of the Foundation for Quality Assurance and Transparency in Healthcare.
