Wolfgang Simon (Illustrator)

Wolfgang Simon (* 1940 in Berlin ; † March 13, 2013 in Andalusia ) was a German illustrator and graphic artist .

Life

Wolfgang Simon studied from 1957 to 1962 at the Berlin University of Fine Arts . Simon saw himself as a student of Friedrich Schröder Sonnenstern .

In the 1960s and 1970s he was active in the Kreuzberg art scene around Günther Bruno Fuchs . Simon was also involved in the 1968 movement .

Since the late 1960s he lived in Andalusia. There he died of a heart attack on March 13, 2013.
