Wolfgang Sobek

Wolfgang Sobek (* 1945 in Waldmünchen ) is a German chemist .

Life

Wolfgang Sobek was born in 1945 in the Upper Palatinate . He attended the St. Thomas School in Leipzig from 1952 to 1964 . From 1964 to 1970 he studied chemistry at the Technical University of Dresden and in Leningrad . From 1970 to 1975 he was a research assistant in Dresden and was in polymer and Radiochemistry with the thesis contributions to the characterization of acrylonitrile-vinyl acetate copolymers for Dr. rer. nat. PhD. From 1975 to 1978 he conducted research in the field of photochemistry at the Wolfen film factory . From 1978 to 1992 he was senior assistant for prepress at the TH Leipzig. From 1979 to 1980 he studied university education at the University of Leipzig and completed his habilitation in 1986 with a thesis on the surface modification of macromolecular substances by photo-initiated graft copolymerization . From 1992 to 2011 he was professor for materials and material testing in printing and packaging technology at the media faculty at the HTWK Leipzig . He has been working as a freelance consultant since 2011.
