Wolfgang Zoubek
Wolfgang Zoubek (born May 11, 1945 in Klattau , Bohemia , † June 11, 2007 in Munich ) was a German composer and organist .
Becoming and working
In 1966, Zoubek graduated from the Regensburger Domspatzen music school . In the same year he began studying school music and the organ with Franz Lehrndorfer and teaching composition with Günter Bialas and Wilhelm Killmayer . From 1976 to 1977 Olivier Messiaen was his teacher during a stay abroad in Paris . In 1990, 1992 and 1994 he stayed in Bali to study , where he dealt with Far Eastern styles and sound systems.
Zoubek had worked in the management of the Studio for New Music in Munich since 1996 , where he lived as an organist and teacher until his death.
