Wolfram Thiele (1978)

Wolfram Thiele (born November 2, 1922 in Rastatt ; † February 17, 2008 ) was a German manager and association official.

Thiele had a PhD in business administration. After working for MAN AG for several years , Thiele became a board member of Gutehoffnungshütte Sterkrade AG in 1970 when Gutehoffnungshütte (GHH) was included in the MAN group of companies, and in 1974 he became a board member of MAN AG, responsible for personnel and social matters. Thiele was President of Gesamtmetall from 1977 to 1985 and later its Honorary President. From 1986 he was a member of the board and labor director of MAN-GHH until he left for reasons of age. He was also Vice President of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) , member of the Presidium of the Federal Association of German Industry (BDI) and President of the Association of Western European Metal Industries (WEM).
