Wolfsmehl , real name Michael Kumeth (born January 18, 1960 in Bad Berneck ), is a German poet , writer , radio play author , dramaturge and screenwriter .

Life

Kumeth was born the son of master brewer Helmuth Kumeth (1934–2013) and his wife Marianne. He has a brother and two sisters and grew up at Fronberg Castle . From 1981 to 1985 he studied process engineering at the Technical University of Munich .

He has been artistically active since 1984, since 2000 successfully under the pseudonym "Wolfsmehl", the main character in his novel-satire From the diary of a German dead (Scheffler Verlag; ISBN 3-89704-048-4 ). He is considered a representative of fantastic realism . In 2001 he received a scholarship to the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts . For the setting of the narrative time of unsurpassable was Konrad Halver nominated in 2003 for the radio play award in the categories "Best Speaker", "Best Director" and "Best radio play".

Kumeth is a member of the PEN Center Germany .
