Wolica is a village in the Bukowsko municipality , Powiat Sanocki in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship , Poland .
It is located in a wooded, hilly area in the extreme south-east of Poland on the road from Bukowsko to Sanok . The Sanoczek brook is located nearby.
The old spellings of Wolica are also around 1435 sancti Petri alias Wolicza, 1441 Wolicza villa sancti Petri, 1450 Wolicza sancti Petri, 1453 Wolicza Superior alias ad sanctum Petrum, 1471 Volycza alias ad sanctum Petrum, Wyrzchna Vola, 1553 Wolicza Inferior et Superior [MK 83 k. 229] 10 km to SW od Sanoka.
From 1975 to 1998 the village belonged to the Krosno Voivodeship .
