Volodymyr Mykolajowytsch Matwijtschuk ( Ukrainian Володимир Миколайович Матвійчук * 29. December 1982 in Berdychiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Ukrainian boxer in the Light Welterweight and participants in the 2016 Olympic Games .

Boxing career

Volodymyr Matwijtschuk each won a bronze medal in the lightweight at the Military World Championships in 2004 in Fort Huachuca and the European Championships in 2011 in Ankara . At the Olympic qualification tournament in Venezuela 2016 he qualified in the light welterweight division for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . There he was eliminated from the light welterweight division in the preliminary round against Collazo Sotomayor .

He also boxed for Team Ukraine Otamans in the World Series of Boxing in 2012, 2015 and 2016 .
