Won Bin ( 원빈 ; born November 10, 1977 in Jeongseon , Gangwon-do ) is a South Korean actor . He was best known for the drama Autumn in My Heart (2002) and for the films Taegukki , Mother and The Man from Nowhere .
Life
Won Bin was born in a village in Gangwon-do north of Jeongseon . He has three older sisters and one older brother.
Career
Won Bin made his debut in a supporting role in the 1997 drama Propose . In 2004, he played a main character in the film Brotherhood . The film received positive reviews and was the top-grossing film in South Korea in 2004 with over 11 million viewers.
After Won Bin graduated from Yong-In University in 2005 , he began his military service in the demilitarized zone and had to interrupt his acting career. In June 2006, the military announced that Won Bin would no longer be active there. The military made this decision because of Won Bin's cruciate ligament injury . After an operation, he completed a rehabilitation program for over a year.
In 2009 and 2010 he starred in two very successful films, Mother by Bong Joon-ho and The Man from Nowhere by Lee Jeong-beom .
On July 3, 2013, his agency, Eden Nine, confirmed that he was in a relationship with actress Lee Na-young . They married on May 30, 2015.
