geography

Particular attention should be paid to the narrow breakthrough of the Wondreb just north of Waldsassen between Platte ( 577  m above sea  level ) in the Fichtel Mountains and Mühlbühl ( 550  m above sea  level ) in the Upper Palatinate Forest , as this is the geological boundary between the two low mountain ranges. The level of the Wondreb is there at about 465  m above sea level. NHN , the distance between the peaks of the two hills is only 2.92 km and the straight line from the summit of Mühlbühl to Wondreb near Schloppach is only 630 m.
