Woody van Eyden
Woody van Eyden (* 1963 in Weert ) is a Dutch DJ and music producer in the trance and techno sectors.
life and career
Born in the Netherlands, he has lived in Germany since 1986 and describes himself as "Bochum by choice". Woody van Eyden became known to a wide audience as a DJ / musician in the 1990s, among other things through music videos for the singles "Fiesta in Mallorca", "Time: Now", "Get Ready", "Ubap" and as a member of the Sequential One formations and Re-Flex . He also moderated some issues of the VIVA club format "Club Rotation". The video for "Fiesta in Mallorca" later became involuntarily part of the VIVA program "Trash Top 100", in which Oliver Pocher makes fun of the title of the song.
As a manager in his own Music & Artist Agency , founded in 1992, Woody van Eyden discovered and marketed artists such as ATB , Alex MORPH , Rank 1 , Chriss Ortega and Oscar de la Fuente , who have since been successful in the electronic music scene. In addition to his management work, he is also active as a producer and remixer and can be seen regularly as a DJ at festivals and clubs around the world. For the Nature One Festival 2010 he produced the official anthem "The Flag Keeps Flying" under the pseudonym Nature One Inc. was published.
His music labels Clubbgroove Records and Bo-Town Records have been inactive since 2003. Current releases appear at the moment only on his trance label Fenology Records .
In 2004 Woody van Eyden founded the radio and event brand HeavensGate together with Alex MORPH , which covers various trance genres. Since 2008, a 2-hour program of the same name has been hosted live by him weekly on the German radio station sunshine .
Woody van Eyden is characterized by both his humorous manner and the German-Dutch accent, as well as sensational appearances as a DJ, with which he has already achieved a kind of cult status. An important factor is always a strong interaction between him and his audience. For their achievements, the DJ team Alex MORPH B2B Woody van Eyden was chosen by fans of the electronic scene in 2008 in the top 100 DJ list of DJ magazine .
