Vsevolod Leonidowitsch Chmyrow ( Russian Всеволод Леонидович Хмыров ; born July 19, 1951 in Reni , Odessa Oblast ) is a Russian officer and rear admiral i. R. of the Russian naval fleet .

Life

Khmyrov attended the eight-grade middle school and from 1966 to 1969 the Leningrad Nakhimov Naval School. In 1974 he graduated from the Naval Officer College MW Frunze in Leningrad. He then served on nuclear submarines in the Northern Fleet . He began his military career as a group commander of the navigation battle section (GA-1) on the submarine K-241 (1974-1976). From 1976 to 1979 he was GA-1 commander of the submarine K-228 and from 1979 to 1981 officer on watch of the submarine K-219 . After completing higher officer courses in the naval fleet in 1982, he was employed as the first officer of the nuclear submarine K-418 . In 1986 he graduated from the Grechko Naval War Academy and was subsequently employed as commander of the nuclear submarine K-241 , on which he had started his career.

Chmyrow took part in 20 combat missions. From 1986 to 1992 he was deputy submarine division commander of the Northern Fleet. He developed a new test method, with a lack of tracking a missile submarine cruiser by enemy anti-submarine means can be determined. From May 1992 he served as submarine division commander of the Northern Fleet and was appointed Rear Admiral on February 22, 1996.

With Decree No. 437 of the President of the Russian Federation of January 28, 1998, he was awarded the Hero of the Russian Federation award for “Courage and heroism in the testing of new naval warfare techniques under life-threatening conditions”. He was released into retirement in July 2002.

The candidate of science (1999) then worked in the administrative area in the territorial administration of the city of Lomonosov and from December 3, 2003 as the administrative manager of the Frunze district . From April 28, 2009 to July 2011, he worked as deputy chairman of the St. Petersburg Housing Committee. Khmyrov lives in Saint Petersburg.
