Wu Lin-lin (born May 12, 1998 in Taichung ) is a Taiwanese tennis player .

Career

Wu already played on the ITF Junior Tour and got his best placement there in February 2016 with 29th place in the junior ranking. In 2015 and 2016 he took part in almost all editions of the Junior Grand Slam tournaments and reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open in 2016 .

From the second half of 2016 onwards, Wu regularly played professional tournaments, especially on the ITF Future Tour . In 2017 he achieved his best result at such a tournament with two finals in singles, in doubles he had already played a few tournaments on the higher endowed ATP Challenger Tour a year earlier . 2018 was his most successful year to date. In several individual challengers, he qualified for the main field and mastered the opening hurdle five times, but lost the match each time afterwards. In doubles he also managed to win his first title at Challengers after his first Future win in November in Canberra . In the final, the Taiwanese prevailed against Jeremy Beale and Thomas Fancutt with Evan Hoyt as his partner . A little later he reached his career high of 514 in the double tennis world rankings ; in the individual it was highest in June of the same year with place 435.

In 2017, Wu was appointed to the Taiwanese Davis Cup team for the first time , where he has so far been 1: 1.
