Wulf-Volker Lindner
Wulf-Volker Lindner (born November 2, 1938 in Magdeburg ) is a German Protestant theologian .
Career
He grew up in his hometown and came to Himmelsthür near Hildesheim in 1947 . From 1959 to 1965 he studied Protestant theology, German literature and philosophy in Tübingen , Marburg and Göttingen , where he passed the first and second theological exams and the vicariate and was a hospital priest. As a scholarship holder of the Volkswagen Foundation for the Promotion of Young Scientists (1967–1971), he trained in psychoanalysis , group analysis and psychotherapy at the Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Göttingen and worked in the Tiefenbrunn Hospital (specialist clinic for psychogenic and psychosomatic diseases) and in the medical Psychological counseling center at the University of Göttingen . From 1971 to 1974 he lectured pastoral psychology at the study seminar of the regional church of Hanover in Göttingen and was a lecturer, teaching and control analyst at the Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Göttingen. In 1972, together with Anneliese Heigl-Evers , Franz Seraph Heigl and Karl König , he held the first of the annual advanced and advanced training seminars of the working group for the application of psychoanalysis in groups at the Tiefenbrunn Hospital.
From 1975 until his retirement in 2002 he taught as a professor for practical theology with a focus on pastoral care and pastoral psychology at the University of Hamburg .
He founded the Hamburg working group of the German Psychoanalytical Society in 1979 and was its chairman from 1979 to 1992. Together with Viktor Boge, Inge Chevalier, Elke Natorp-Husmann, Angelika Stieber-Schmidt, Monika Stille and Gudula Theopold, he founded the DPG Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy Hamburg in 1986, of which he was chairman from 1986 to 1994. He was also chairman of the working group for the application of psychoanalysis in groups (1990–1992, 1994–2003, 2004–2010). Since 2011 he has been head of the DPG training analyst committee and a member of the board of the German Psychoanalytical Society (DPG).
