Karl König (psychoanalyst)

Karl König (born November 4, 1931 in Reichenberg , Czechoslovakia ; † January 6, 2018 ) was a German doctor , psychoanalyst and author.

Life

Karl König, Prof. Dr., was a specialist in internal medicine and psychosomatic medicine , psychotherapist and supervisor . He was chairman of the Lou Andreas Salomé Institute in Göttingen , a training center for psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, and head of the department for clinical group psychotherapy at the University of Göttingen . He was also the author of numerous non-fiction books on psychotherapy and articles, as well as being a co-editor of specialist journals.
