The Wuri was a boat of the German colonial administration of Cameroon .
history
The Wuri was built in Hamburg in 1906 as a cabin boat in the shape of a cutter . The boat was powered by a Capitaine petrol engine. The Wuri was a sister ship to the Libelle, built in 1902 . The boat was named after the river Wuri in Cameroon, on which it was used. Since it was supposed to sail up the Wuri up to Yabassi , its maximum draft was only 0.5 meters.
In November 1906, the Wuri was transferred to Cameroon by Eleonore Woermann . Since 1907 she served as an inspection boat for the Imperial Governorate of Cameroon.
On September 13, 1914, the Wuri ended in an explosion.
