The Wurzerbach is a 1.3 kilometer long left tributary of the Kainach in Styria .

course

The Wurzerbach arises in the northern part of the municipality Bärnbach , in the north of the cadastral municipality Hochtregist , southwest of the Hof Hochegger on the western slope of the Hochkogel . It flows in a flat curve to the right to the south-west. At the border of the cadastral communities Kohlschwarz and Bärnbach it flows south of the place Afling , southeast of the Karl-Ortner-Siedlung and northeast of the Piberegg Rollsiedlung about 100 meters west of the L341 into the Kainach.

On its course, the Wurzerbach takes two from the left and one unnamed watercourse from the right.

Flood protection

To protect against floods one was at the root Erbach to 1995 check dam built. As a further protective measure, work on flood protection was carried out until around 1997 .
