Wybiti ( Russian Выбити ) is a village in Solzy Raion of Novgorod Oblast in northwestern Russia . It has 882 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010) and is located on the Koloschka , a right tributary of the Schelon , 10 km from the Solzy Rajon center.
Rural community
Wybiti is the administrative seat of the rural municipality Wybitskoje selskoje posselenije, to which 55 other villages belong. The community has a total of 2146 inhabitants. Nine of the villages have no permanent residents (Dudanowo, Seljonaja, Sechnicha, Ilemjonka, Oberjotka, Smechnowo, Solowjowo, Suchlowo, Schawkowo), 25 have fewer than ten inhabitants (Belez, Krjuchkowo, Strotschizy, Ziwiljowo, Volschnoje, Schapodkowo, Bloschnozhoe Dedkowo, Bolschoje Danilowo, Wolnaja Lyatschka, Grjada, Novyje Gorki, Ostrow, Selishche, Serednja, Malinowka, Upolsy, Kuk, Mirnaja, Ossinowik, Podberesje, Sapolje, Gorodok, Zalessye, Michalkino, Bereschok, Zypudschino, Morsino, Novaya, Lansky Gorky, Nikolskoye Sagorodishche, Dolga, Doworjez, Staroye Sagorodishche, Mjakowo, Somino, Ilowjonka, Chvojnaja) and next to Vybiti only five villages with more than 100 inhabitants (Nevskoye, Velebizy, Pessochet, October 14th, Skirino and Svetochet, Skirino) 2010).
etymology
The village name probably comes from the Wybionen, a Slavic tribe that settled in this region 1500 years ago.
Attractions
Particularly worth seeing in Wybiti are the ruins of the manor house with a park as well as several other buildings that were formerly owned by the aristocratic Vasilchikov family . The manor complex has been a listed building since 1975.
