Xanthos

The name Xanthos (Greek Ξάνθος, Latin Xanthus ) originally comes from ancient Greece. So it was used as a proper name, as a river name and as the name of a city. The name is derived from the Greek ξανθός and means yellow , reddish , brownish , blond (for people) and fawn (for horses).

It is still used today: as a first and last name and in science.
