Xavier Cañellas Sánchez (born March 16, 1997 in Palma ) is a Spanish cyclist who competes in races on track and road .

Athletic career

In 2013, Xavier Cañellas was the Spanish youth champion in the individual time trial on the road. In the following years he focused on the track, so in 2014 he became European Junior Champion in the Omnium and multiple Spanish champions in the disciplines of two-man team driving and team pursuit . At the UCI Track World Championships 2018 he finished seventh in the scratch .

In 2019 Cañellas received a contract with Caja Rural-Seguros RGA . At the beginning of the year he made his first appearance at the Mallorca Challenge .
