Xavier Thill (born February 23, 1983 ) is a Luxembourg ice hockey player who has been playing for the IHC Beaufort since 2012 . Since 2016 he takes with the team at the Belgian National League Division I in part.

Career

Xavier Thill started his career at Hiversport Luxembourg . From 2001 to 2003 he played for record champions Tornado Luxembourg , for whom he was on the ice in both the Luxembourg ice hockey league and the fifth-rate German Rhineland-Palatinate league . In 2003 he was Luxembourg national champion with Tornado. After not appearing for nine years, he has been playing for the IHC Beaufort since 2013 . There he played again in the Rhineland-Palatinate League. Since 2016 he has been playing with the team in the Belgian National League Division I , the country's second-highest division.

International

In the junior division, Thill played for Luxembourg at the U18-D European Championship in 1998 and at the U18 World Championship in 1999 and 2000 in the European Division 2.

With the men's national team , on the other hand, Thill first took part in the world championships of Division III 2017 at the age of 34 , when the Luxembourgers succeeded in promotion to Division II. There he played with the Letzeburgers at the 2018 World Cup .
