Xhafer receipt
Xhaferettelu (born January 11, 1904 in Elbasan ; † January 1, 1962 ibid) was an Albanian historian and envoy to Italy and Macedonia .
Life
Xhaferebelu grew up with four siblings in a wealthy extended family. His father was a successful entrepreneur. He graduated from the Naim Frashëri secondary school in Elbasan. His father sent him to Austria to there Economics study. Xhaferebelu attended the commercial academy in Linz from 1920 to 1928 . During this time he also met the Austrian Leopoldina Stadelbauer, whom he later married. After completing his training, he returned to Albania.
From 1929 he worked for the Foreign Ministry as a diplomatic courier. The Albanian monarchy appointed him envoy in Bari, Italy (1935–1939). He later became consul in Bitola , Macedonia. While Yugoslavia was being occupied by the Nazis , he lost his office and had to return to Albania. He stayed there without a job and distanced himself from the fascist regime.
During the communist dictatorship of Enver Hoxha he was politically persecuted until the end of his life for his main anti-Yugoslav work on the League of Prizren . But his marriage to an Austrian woman and his intellectual background were also condemned by the communists. From 1945 to 1948 ,belu was in prison, after which he was only allowed to work as a worker.

Honors
The archive of the city of Elbasan was named after him. On October 16, 1995, he received honorary citizenship from the then Albanian President Sali Berisha and the " Naim Frashëri " order, first class.
Zeqir Zarya published a biography ofbelu's life in 1997.
