ξ Aquarii ( Xi Aquarii , short ξ Aqr ) is a spectroscopic double star in the constellation Aquarius . The system consists of an A main sequence star (historical name also: Bunda ) and a lower-mass component, which could be a red dwarf or a white dwarf . The period of rotation is over 20 years. The system was first solved by Harold A. McAlister using speckle interferometry (observations from 1977, publication 1979).
