Xia Yuyu (born March 1, 1998 ) is a Chinese long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Xia Yuyu gained her first international experience at the 2015 Asian Youth Championships in Doha , where she won the silver medal in the 3000 meter run in 9: 53.03 min . She then finished 13th in the Youth World Championships in Cali in 9: 59.17 mins. At the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei , she started in the half marathon, but could not finish her race. At the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus she finished 87th in 42:26 min and at the Asian Championships in Doha she finished fourth in the 10,000 meter run in 33: 02.31 min . In July she took tenth place at the Summer Universiade in Naples in 34: 49.18 minutes.

In 2018, Xia became the Chinese champion in the 10,000 meter run.
