The municipality of Xishan ( Chinese  西山区 , Pinyin Xīshān Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Kunming , the capital of the Chinese province of Yunnan . It has an area of ​​791.14 km² and has 420,000 inhabitants (2004). Xishan is the westernmost of Kunming's four boroughs and covers the west bank of the Dian Chi .
