Xue Fei (born February 10, 1999 in Beijing ) is a Chinese table tennis player .

Career

Xue was active internationally for the first time in 2012 when he won silver in the individual at the Asian Youth Championship, followed by a bronze medal and a title win with the team the following year. In 2014 he played on the World Tour for the first time and won silver at the Argentinia Open. This year he also took part in the Youth World Championship for the first time, where he won bronze in singles and mixed games and gold in doubles. In 2015 he was Asian youth champion, and in 2016 he was active in the Chinese Superleague , where he scored 8: 2 in doubles with Lin Gaoyuan . In 2017 he won the title in all four competitions at the Youth World Cup.

From 2017 it was also used more often in the adult sector. At the Czech Open he won bronze in doubles, in the round of 16 he only narrowly failed 3: 4 against world number seven Timo Boll . In the U-21 competition, he surprisingly had to admit defeat to Anton Källberg . In the summer of the same year he was active in the T2APAC tournament . He was also able to win the German and Austrian Open in his age group. At the end of the year it was ranked 50th in the world, but fell back with the introduction of the new world ranking calculation in 2018 .

At the Qatar Open 2018 he already failed in the group, but was again able to reach 1st place in the same tournament in the U21 competition. Xue also took part in the Hungarian and Swedish Open, but had to admit defeat to Fan Zhendong . He was active again in the Chinese Superleague . At the AM he also won gold with the team.

Xue Fei uses the Asian penholder style . He is known for quick forehand attacks and good backhand blocks.
