Yōko Maki (actress)

Yōko Maki ( Japanese 真 木 よ う 子 , Maki Yōko , born Yōko Kanamori ( 金森 陽 子 ), born October 15, 1982 in Inzai , Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese actress . She is best known from the two horror films in the Ju-on series , which were remade as The Grudge .

Life

Yōko Maki made her film debut at the age of 19 in the 2001 film Drug . The springboard of her career was the manga-based action film Shura Yukihime in which she starred Aya. In addition to numerous film and series roles, she also acted for various commercials . In 2008 she made her first appearance as Seiyū in the anime Michiko to Hatchin as Michiko Malandro. In November 2008, she announced her wedding to a man who did not come from the entertainment industry himself. At the same time, she also announced that she was pregnant.
