Yū Tamura (born January 9, 1989 in Okazaki , Aichi Prefecture ) is a Japanese rugby union player who is used on the position of the connector . He plays for the Japanese national team and for the super rugby team Sunwolves . Yū Tamura is 1.81 m tall and weighs 87 kg.

life and career

Yū Tamura studied at Meiji University . He played from 2011 to 2017 for the top league club NEC Green Rockets. Since 2017 he has been playing for the Canon Eagles, which are based in the city of Machida . He has also been playing for the Sunwolves from Tokyo since 2016 . He took part in the 2015 and 2019 World Championships with the Japanese national team and reached the quarter-finals with his team in 2019.
