Yūji Katsuro ( Japanese 勝 呂 裕 司 , Katsuro Yūji , born October 7, 1949 ) is a former Japanese skier who was active in ski jumping and Nordic combined .

Career

Katsuro made his international debut as a Nordic combined athlete at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo . In the individual, he just missed the medal ranks and finished fifth. A year later, Katsuro temporarily switched to the special jumpers and started internationally for the first time in the Four Hills Tournament 1973/74 . However, during the tour he only competed in the New Year's competition on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . With rank 59 he missed the leap to a top place and only achieved rank 97 in the overall ranking. In the following Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 he did not start again in all jumping. After skipping the jumping in Oberstdorf , he started in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and reached place 26. On the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck he reached place 38, before he finished the tour with place 27 on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen . In the overall ranking, it was only 62nd with 585.9 points.

At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Katsuro started again in the combination. In the individual he reached the 21st place.
