Yūji Naka
Yūji Naka ( Japanese 中 裕 司 , Naka Yūji ; born September 17, 1965 in Ōsaka ) is a Japanese programmer. He is known for his work on the Sega company video games .
Career
Yūji Naka started at Sega in 1984 as a programmer for the 8-bit consoles SG-1000 and Sega Master System . 1991 Naka developed the Jump 'n' Run Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive . Since 2000 he has headed the specially founded Sonic team and in 2004 was also appointed "R&D Creative Officer" of the Sega Corporation. Naka also produced Phantasy Star Online and NiGHTS into Dreams . In 2006 he left Sega and founded his own development studio Prope .
