Yūya Funatsu ( Japanese 船津 佑 也 Funatsu Yūya ; born November 22, 1983 in Kagoshima ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Funatsu learned to play soccer on the school team at Kagoshima Josei High School . He signed his first contract with Júbilo Iwata in 2002 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2003 he moved to the second division club Shonan Bellmare . In 2005 he moved to Rosso Kumamoto . In 2005 he switched to New Wave Kitakyushu (today: Giravanz Kitakyushu). At the end of the 2007 season, the club rose to the Japan Football League . At the end of the 2009 season, the club rose to the J2 League . In 2011 he moved to Hoyo AC Elan Oita . At the end of 2011 he ended his career as a football player.
