Yağmurlu ( Turkish rainy ) was a village in the former central district of the Turkish province of Şanlıurfa . Since the regional reform in 2014, it has been part of the newly founded municipality of Eyyübiye in the district of the same name. It is located about 55 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital Şanlıurfa in the middle of the stone desert of the Tektek Mountains . There is a primary school in the village. Most of the residents are Arabs.

Since one of the rare water points in the region was located here, the place was previously not insignificant. The earlier name was Soğukmatar or Soğmatar. Today's village is located on the site of the ancient city of Sumatar , which was probably a planetary shrine of the Sabian religious community or a place of worship of the moon god Sin . Numerous relics can be seen in the village and the immediate vicinity.
