Yael Davids

Yael Davids (* 1968 in Kibbutz Tzuba, Jerusalem ) is an Israeli sculptor and performance artist .

life and work

Yael Davids studied fine art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, sculpture at the Pratt Institute in New York, as well as choreography and dance education at the Academy of Cultural Education of the Federal Government and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Remscheid. Yael Davids teaches at the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague. Her work is mainly based on performances, which she often presents herself, but sometimes also together with groups.

In 2001 Davids organized the exhibition Living Sculptures in the Abteiberg Museum in Mönchengladbach. In 2017 she was a participant in documenta 14 in Kassel
