Yakup Şener

Yakup Şener (born September 1, 1990 in Trabzon ) is a former Turkish boxer and Olympic competitor from 2012.

The 1.70 m tall light welterweight won the Turkish Championships in 2011 and the European Olympic qualification in 2012. He beat Danijel Vekić, Croatia, Ljubomir Marjanović, Serbia, Dmitri Galagot , Moldova and Chabane Fehim, France. In August of the same year he then took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , where he defeated Serge Ambomo from Cameroon, but lost to Uktamjon Rachmonow from Uzbekistan in the round of 16.

Other opponents of his career include Danijar Jeleussinow , Idel Torriente , Gyula Káté , Bradley Saunders and Onur Şipal .
