Yamhill is a small town and is located in the northern part of Yamhill County , Oregon , USA . Oregon Route 47 and Oregon Route 240 intersect in the center of Yamhill. According to the US Federal Statistical Office , the agricultural town had 1024 inhabitants in 2010. The community was founded on February 20, 1891 under the original name North Yamhill by the Legislative Assembly of Oregon.
