Yang Lei ( Chinese  杨磊 ; born March 9, 1995 ) is a Chinese sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Yang Lei gained his first international experience at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta , where he made it to the semi-finals in the individual competition and was eliminated there with 49.25 seconds. He was also sixth with the Chinese 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 07.16 min and fourth with the mixed relay. After the doping-related disqualification of the victorious Bahraines in 2019, the bronze medal in the mixed relay was awarded to the Chinese. The following year he won the silver medal behind the team from Japan at the Asian Championships in Doha with a new national record of 3: 03.55 minutes.
